Hi Dona! I have classes Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6:30 – 7:45. The classes are on-going and for all levels. I charge $10 for a single class or $60 for a card good for 7 classes. Feel free to call if you have questions. I would love to hear from you! My number is 520-227-8069. Take care! Macaela
Hi there. I teach at Cochise College through the Center for Lifelong Learning on Tuesdays (beginner) and Wednesdays (continuing) at 5:00 p.m. These are 7-week sessions and you sign up through the Center. I also have a drop-in class at the hospital rehab gym on Thursdays at 6:30. Classes are $10. Let me know if you want more details. Thanks for your interest!
Hi,
Im interested in taking yoga class. I have tried it before but did not continue. I am 45 years old and is eager to do it.
Do you teach basics first?
Good morning! I do teach all levels and include the basics so the class is helpful to all. I am happy to answer any questions you might have, and I hope I will see you soon!
Namaste,
Macaela
Hi Paul! I do not know much about the Canadian Buddhist community, but I appreciate your interest. I have been reading an enjoyable book, The Buddha Walks into a Bar. It is a light read on how to be a Buddhist in the modern world. I appreciate how it shows that the practice can be for anyone. You don’t have to become a monk. You might like it. Thanks for visiting my site!
Hi, I live in Sierra Vista and just wanted to make sure that the times and prices are still the same? I am really interested in starting up a real yoga practice. I have practiced on my own, off and on, for about 4 years but continually get distracted by day to day life. Do you think a class would be beneficial?
Hi! Yes, all the information is current. When I was a kid, I practiced yoga off and on too, from books. But when I took my first class, my life was changed. I think it is importantly to have your own practice, definitely, but you can grow much more quickly in a class. I hope you will come to one of my classes sometime and you can judge for yourself. Thanks for writing! Namaste
Hi Cindy! The meditation class is a workshop on August 10 from 2-4, to be held on Ft. Huachuca. It is $30. The 8-week class is a yoga class which will start September 4 and go through end of October. That class is on Wednesday evenings from 5:00-6:00 p.m. and is $80. If you are interested in either, you can talk to me more about the classes, or if you want to sign up, the person at the college to talk to is Ana Smith, smitha@cochise.edu. Please feel free to call me if you would like to talk about yoga or meditation more in person. Thanks for your interest!
Macaela, I am very interested in a yoga class. I tried once before, but the class was not a beginner class, although it had been advertised as such. I’m 63, have post polio syndrome which makes some movements difficult. Do you offer a senior yoga class? (Senior as in age! LOL)
Hi Mickie!
I do not have a specific class for seniors, but I have a number of people in class who are older than you are :). My classes are very gentle, and people just go at their own pace doing what works for them. If you are concerned about how you would do because of the post polio syndrome, I also offer private classes which are especially helpful for beginners who may need a little extra help getting started. I hope you will come by to give it a try. Give a call or write again if you would like any further information. I hope to see you soon!
Macaela
Hi! Yes, I am still doing classes. They are at Buena Health & Fitness, 255 W. Wilcox near the main gate, Tuesdays & Thursdays from 6:30-7:45 and Saturday mornings at 8:00. My classes involve deep stretching, some simple pranayama, and are very supportive of people at all levels. My background is in Iyengar yoga, so I focus on alignment and strength as well as stretching. I hope one of my classes will work out for you!
Namaste,
Macaela
Hi Sara! Feel free to just come by next Saturday a few minutes early so I can help you get set up. Class is ongoing, so you can pay per class or buy a card, 7 classes for the price of 6 ($60). I look forward to meeting you! Call if you have any questions or want more details. Namaste, Macaela
Hello I am wondering if you are still currently teaching classes and if so, is it too late to sign up for your Saturday 8:00 AM class?? And what is the fee?
I wanted to gather additional information on your private classes and costs? I will be in town over the Christmas Holiday and wanted to introduce Yoga my Father-In-Law (he needs a calm in his life) and wanted to see if you were available.
Thank you.
Hi Ashia,
I would enjoy talking to you more about your father-in-law’s needs. My fee for a private class is $40, and I will have some time available over the holidays. Thanks for your note!
Namaste,
Macaela
Hi! Yes, I have class on Saturday and you are very welcome to join us. On Saturdays we use the balance ball as a prop–good for the core and fun! Hope to see you Saturday. Let me know if you have any questions. Namaste,
Macaela
Hi
I was looking to start taking yoga classes, i have very little experience and was wondering if you had a good time that a beginner should come
Thank you and I look forward to my first class!!!
Hi Kristen! I have class Tuesday evenings at 6:30, and that would be a good one to start with. I have another class on Saturday morning at 8:00 where you would definitely be welcome also. It is just slightly more vigorous. I have people of all levels in my classes and would love to have you come and try it out. Come a little early if you can so I can get you set up with a mat and props. It would also be good to come early if you have any particular health concerns you would like to discuss with me. I look forward to meeting you!
Macaela
Hi! I am moving to sierra vista in 3 weeks and I am 15 weeks pregnant. Do you offer prenatal yoga? (I have zero experience with yoga but want something to keep me healthy and active during pregnancy)
I do not offer prenatal yoga, unfortunately. I am a little uncertain about having you come to a regular class if you are new to yoga and are pregnant. I would love to have you as a student, and it is possible I might do a prenatal class at a women’s health center here in town, but nothing is certain yet. I will be sure to let you know if I start something up.
Hi Chloe,
I have classes on Tuesdays at 6:30 pm and Saturdays at 8:00 am. Drop-in classes are $10 or 7-class punch card for $60. Please let me know if you have any questions!
Namaste,
Macaela
Have practiced Begining/gentle and some chair yoga off and on. Just when I get really into it, either the instructor leaves or I injur myself(unrelated to yoga)
My daughte is a Hatha Instructor in Chicago. She found your card in the Wellness Depot at the mall. I am a snior, on a fixed income, currentloy 7 weeks post Spiral Fracture of the Lt, Humerus. I am looking to start back again with some modifications, Do you offer any daytime classes, do you think you could help me, and lastly, what would be the cost. I am currently out of town but will return Friday Evening.
Thanks for your reply
Sincerely,Sue Remsik 520-559-5688
Ms. Remsik,
I teach three classes a week, and the one I would recommend to you is held at Cochise College through the Center for Lifelong Learning. It meets on Wednesdays at 5:00 and is geared towards step-by-step instruction, all levels–but most people are continuing/beginning. The class meets in 7 or 8 week sessions at $10/session, and you must pay for all the classes in the session. I also teach a gentle class on Tuesday evenings which tends to be fuller so not quite as amenable to the highly personalized attention that would be most beneficial to you–although you would still get a lot out of it. I teach a Saturday morning class, but we use the balance ball, and I wouldn’t want you to start with that one after being so recently injured. My classes outside the college are also $10/class, but you can buy a ticket of 7 classes for $60. Please feel free to give me a call this weekend if I can answer any more questions for you: 520-227-8069. It would be great if one of the classes works out for you!
Thank you for your response. I hope to look you up when I am back in Tombstone and settled in. I begin PT on Tues morning across from the mall. I will ask my therapist what she thinks about my returning to yoga.
I have never done anything like Yoga. I have “busy brain” and numerous auto-immune health problems. I have been told that I need to de-stress in order to avoid taking pharmaceutical medications. Several people have suggested Yoga due to numerous health benefits.
I have two other women at work that would like to join as well. Do you have beginner classes? I understand that you offer classes for $10/session or a card for $60.7 sessions?
Yoga does have amazing health benefits! My classes are all levels. If it is possible for you, I would recommend the Wednesday 5:00 p.m. class at Cochise College, which begins July 16 and goes through August 27. It includes people who have been practicing with me for some time now, but it is also a little easier than Tuesdays or Saturdays. Wednesday class is organized by the college and you sign up for the series of 7 through them (www.cochise.edu/cll). If for any reason you need to miss one of the Wednesdays, you can make up on Saturday at the studio. It is $70 for the series, and the studio fees are what you mentioned above. The college class is just a suggestion. You are very welcome to come to any class that works for you. I look forward to meeting you–and let me know if I can answer any other questions for you. Take care!
Macaela
Hi Ashley,
I am sorry that I don’t have a good answer for you. I do not teach prenatal yoga and have not met anyone here that does. In fact, please let me know if you find someone so I can refer students to them in the future. Best of luck!
Macaela
Hello. I am new to the area and never done yoga, however being a new mommy and housewife I need some quiet me time and think yoga would be beneficial to my inner peace. Can you give me a current price list and class schedule? Do we need to contact you if we would like to join a class and what should we bring?
Hi Natalie,
I have classes Tuesday and Friday evenings from 6:30-7:45 and Saturday mornings at 8:00. I also teach at Cochise College Wednesdays at 5:00 p.m. Classes are $10 for drop-in, or you can buy a card which is 7 classes for $60. Except for the college classes, drop in whenever you like. My Cochise College classes are through the Center for Lifelong Learning and are offered in 7 week sessions. A new one starts this week. Please let me know if you have any other questions. Hope I see you soon!
Macaela
I’m in Sierra Vista for a few weeks. I am not a regular yoga practitioner. I do enjoy it from time to time. I am interested in dropping in on one of your Sat morning classes. $10/class? Are there additional fees for renting a mat? Also wasn’t sure if you offer Bikram yoga classes. Thanks.
Hi! There are no additional fees for a mat. We usually use a balance ball on Saturday mornings. It is a great way to warm up and work the core. Everyone goes at his or her own pace. I do not offer Bikram, but I hope you will come and try my style, which is a more meditative approach focusing on awareness and alignment.
Hello! I was referred to you by one of my athletes who attended your class last spring. I am looking to get my kids more involved in other forms of exercise. I have about 15 to 20 kids. I am not sure if it would be easier/cost effective to attend one of you scheduled classes or arrange a class time for my group. Right now I am looking for 2 days during the month of November, and if it goes well I would like to add more. Thank you and hope to hear from you soon.
Good afternoon Joseph! How great that you would like to get your student athletes into yoga! It would be good for the kids to have their own class, since my space is limited. Do you have a space in mind at the school? My studio can accommodate 15 well. Twenty might be pretty crowded. I normally charge $8 for students, so let me know what kind of budget you are working with and we can go from there. Do you have specific days in mind? Would Saturdays be an option for them? Please feel free to call me: 520-227-8069. I may have to call you back–the reception here at the Fort is not very good–so please leave a message. If you would rather discuss this more by email, my address is macaela.cashman@gmail.com. I look forward to talking with you about this exciting idea!
Referring to the Tuesday class can you just drop in or do you need to sign up. And is it open to all levels I have only taken a few yoga classes so far. Finally after reading some comments it looks like you offer more classes than on Tue and Sat. What is the class schedule. 6:30 pm would be the earliest classes I could attend.
Hi Peter,
I now am offering classes on Tuesday and Saturday evenings at 6:30. Saturday has been canceled. The classes include all levels, so I am confident you will be comfortable even as a beginner. You are welcome to drop in ($10/class) or you can buy a card, 7 classes for $60. Feel free to email or call if you would like further information. Thanks for your interest!
Namaste,
Macaela
Hello,
I’m in college and working on a BA in Complementary and Alternative health, I’d like to interview you through email/phone or in person for a class I’m taking on Integrative Health. Would you have time tomorrow or Saturday for a quick 15-20 minutes?
Hi Dianna,
I would be happy to talk with you. Saturday at 3:30 or so would work well for me. Would you like to meet somewhere or just give a call? My phone number is 520-227-8069. Leave a message if I am not available to answer. Your degree sounds very interesting. I look forward to talking with you!
Macaela
Hi Brandi, classes are not crowded. It varies, but on average we are about ten people, and I have students who are at all levels. You won’t need to feel uncomfortable at all even if your fitness is not where you would like it to be at the moment. Please come and give it a try!
Very interested in attending your classes on Tuesday and Saturday if you have any openings. I’m now retired and would love to join your classes if you have an opening?
Hi Joyce! I have moved Saturday yoga to Friday evening at 6:30, so both my classes are evening classes. You are very welcome to join! Classes are ongoing, and you can start any time. There is plenty of room. Let me know if you have any questions. I look forward to meeting you!
Macaela, I just wanted some more information on the yoga sessions. The cost, times and days, location and whether or not you have to be experienced with yoga to do it.
Hi Beth! You do not need to be experienced to do my classes. I teach class Wednesdays at 5:00 at Cochise College through their Center for Lifelong Learning, which offers sessions–three weeks for the January session and then a seven week session after that at $30 and $70 respectively. I also teach at my studio on Tuesday evenings at 6:30. Those classes are $10 for a drop-in or you can buy a card of 7 classes for $60. The studio is at 401 Bartow which is directly behind Cafe o’Le. Please let me know if I can answer any other questions for you! Take care!
Hello –
Have been interested in taking a class for a few years now. Always nervous to try and be “the new girl” or the “inexperienced one”. Hoping to get involved and bite the bullet! Everyone was new at once right? Looking for more information about your class, where a bouts, etc.
Thanks,
Carollen
Hi Carollen! My class would be a very safe, respectful place to start. I accommodate all levels and love helping newcomers get started. Class is behind Cafe o’Le, 401 Bartow on Tuesdays at 6:30. Drop-in price is $10. Pleas call or write again if you need Anthony else. I hope to see you soon!

Hi Vicki,
I don’t have any daytime classes, unfortunately. I do offer private classes after 5 on weekdays or any time on the weekends. Let me know if you are interested. Thanks for the message!
Namaste,
Macaela
Macaela, I just wanted some more information on yoga sessions currently available.. cost/times/days/locations? Do you currently have any available classes at Ft. Huachuca? New to the area and looking for a place to practice.
Sorry to be so slow in responding. I just got your message. I do not have any classes at Ft. Huachuca, but I believe Barnes Field House offers some at noon. I teach on Tuesday evenings at 6:30 at 401 Bartow Street behind Cafe O’Le. Classes are $10 for a drop in. At the end of July, I will move to teach only at Cochise College through the Center for Lifelong Learning. Thanks for your interest!
I do offer private lessons. What kind of work are you interested in doing? How many classes are you interested in? Give me a call when you have a chance so we can talk about it: 520-227-8069.
When is the next schedule of classes at Cochise College? What level are these classes that you are teaching there? I tried a class at a local gym and was miserable because she did not give any alternate instructions for me as a beginner. Thank you.
Hi! My beginning class at Cochise College starts on Tuesday. It is slow and careful and about you rather than me. My goal is for the people I teach to see how wonderful they can actually feel physically, mentally and spiritually. The class is offered through the Center for Lifelong Learning. Feel free to call me or them if you want to know more. Thanks for contacting me and not giving up on yoga
I see the Yoga Foundations class on Tuesday and also the Yoga with Macaela on Wednesday. What days are your beginning classes or is it only on Tuesday? I am unable to attend this Tuesday’s class due to a previous engagement. Will I still be able to sign up for this cycle?
Hi Elle,
Tuesday is the beginner class. Thursday is all levels at the new hospital. You can still sign up for Tuesday. If you miss the first class. You will not be behind. Hope to see you next week!
Hi Jim,
You are right, most of the people in my classes are women. But men are most welcome too! I do not have any classes specifically for men at this time, although it is something to consider. The classes I offer are not in the least competitive. It doesn’t matter how flexible or fit a person is. The physical work is great for its health benefits, but the greatest benefit for me is the peace of mind that yoga can create.
I hope you will come and check it out sometime!
Thanks for your inquiry.
Macaela
Hi Angela,
Yes I do. My Thursday class at 6:30 at Canyon Vista rehab center is a drop-in class. You can sign up for Tuesday or Wednesday classes at the Center for Lifelong Learning at Cochise College. Thanks for your interest!

You will never be pushed and can go at your own comfort level. If you have concerns, feel free to give me a call.

Hi,
I’m in Sierra Vista for a few weeks.
Hi,
Referring to the Tuesday class can you just drop in or do you need to sign up. And is it open to all levels I have only taken a few yoga classes so far. Finally after reading some comments it looks like you offer more classes than on Tue and Sat. What is the class schedule. 6:30 pm would be the earliest classes I could attend.
Thanks
Hi Peter,
I now am offering classes on Tuesday and Saturday evenings at 6:30.

I was just wonder how crowded your classes are and if they are appropriate for someone who is not that physically fit.
Hi Brandi, classes are not crowded. It varies, but on average we are about ten people, and I have students who are at all levels. You won’t need to feel uncomfortable at all even if your fitness is not where you would like it to be at the moment. Please come and give it a try!
Macaela, Do you give lessons on how to mediate?
Hi Mary! It is in the works. Let me know if you know others who are interested. Hope to see you soon!
Thank you!

Do you offer any daytime classes? Privates?
Hi Vicki,
I don’t have any daytime classes, unfortunately. I do offer private classes after 5 on weekdays or any time on the weekends. Let me know if you are interested. Thanks for the message!
Namaste,
Macaela
Can I just show up to class or do I need to make a reservation?
Thank you
Hi Elaine, you don’t need to reserve a space. Just come a little early. I hope to see you soon. Thanks for your interest!
Macaela, I just wanted some more information on yoga sessions currently available.. cost/times/days/locations? Do you currently have any available classes at Ft. Huachuca? New to the area and looking for a place to practice.
Thanks- Hope to meet you soon!
Hi Kelli,
Sorry to be so slow in responding.

I am interested in private lessons. Thank you in advance!
Hi Bridy,
I do offer private lessons. What kind of work are you interested in doing? How many classes are you interested in? Give me a call when you have a chance so we can talk about it: 520-227-8069.
Thanks for your interest!

I see the majority on your class is women, do you have classes for men?
Hi Jim,
You are right, most of the people in my classes are women.

DVDs arrived today(Thursday) will bring to class Tuesday. GCoppola
Good news! Thank you!
Do you still have yoga classes?
Hi Angela,
Yes I do. My Thursday class at 6:30 at Canyon Vista rehab center is a drop-in class. You can sign up for Tuesday or Wednesday classes at the Center for Lifelong Learning at Cochise College. Thanks for your interest!
Namaste,
Macaela
Is the Thursday Class still available and is it suitable for beginners?
Yes, it is available and a good class for beginners. Thanks!
